Ike Moriz (ZA)
Seit 2002 hat der weithin umjubelte südafrikanische Popstar, Sänger, Produzent und Schauspieler Ike Moriz 18 Alben von melodischem Indie Rock/Pop bis zu Latin/Easy Listening, Lounge, Blues & Jazzy Swing geschaffen. Seine Songs werden werden weltweit gespielt und erreichten z.B. in England, Holland, Südafrika und Deutschland Nummer Eins-Platzierungen. Dieser vielfältig begabte Künstler hat außerdem in einigen international produzierten Filmen wie "Alfie", "Shanghai Knights" und "Love Actually" mitgespielt und tauchte in einigen nationalen südafrikanischen und englischen Fernsehproduktionen und Serien auf.
Südafrikas eigenes Indie Pop Idol (The Citizen) studierte Musik und Schauspiel in Südafrika, Deutschland und Holland, nachdem er bereits in der Kindheit weit herumkam. Der mehrsprachige Künstler verbrachte 5 Jahre in London in Rockbands, Musicals und mit seinem eigenen Label, bevor er 2005 wieder nach Südafrika zurückkehrte. 2006 wurde er unter die besten 5 Sänger Südafrikas gewählt. Es gibt keine größere Bühne in Kapstadt und Johannesburg, die er nicht bespielt hätte, er ist der Haus- und Hof-Entertainer in den 3 besten 5-Sterne-Hotels in Kapstadt, seine Musik ist dort in Radio und Fernsehen überall präsent. . In den USA wurde Ike beschrieben als "Bowie ohne Glam trifft Oasis ohne Selbstgefälligkeit in Kombination mit UK-Charts-Alternative ohne Langeweile".

The multi-lingual singer, actor, producer and songwriter spent five years in London, fronting rock bands, performing in musicals and running his own label Mosquito Records London, before returning to his favorite country South Africa in 2005. He was voted one of the top five singers in SA in 2006. He is the resident entertainer at 3 most prestigious ‘5 star’ hotels in Cape Town. His songs have charted on SA radio while his music videos rock SA TV channels. Ike has performed at all major venues in Cape Town and Johannesburg with his band of top session musicians (e.g. Kirstenbosch, City Hall, Waterfront Amphitheatre, FTV, Back2Basics, Blues Room, Green Dolphin, The Crypt, etc.).
