Als Frontmann der Band Anton & The Colts aus Glasgow und als Solokünstler hat Anton seine Musik nach Texas, Rom, Nashville, Paris, New Orleans, London und wieder zurück nach Hause gebracht. Anton ist der lebende Beweis dafür, dass Erfolg nicht zwangsläufig Kompromisse bedeutet. Er hat die Musik, die er liebt - Blues, Country, Folk, Rock'n'Roll - in ein starkes, frisches und doch beruhigend vertrautes Gebräu verwandelt.
Gesegnet mit einer rauchigen, whiskygetränkten Stimme, die an die großen Soulsänger von Stax und Muscle Shoals erinnert, und nur mit einer akustischen Gitarre und einer Mundharmonika bewaffnet, fügt Anton prägnante Texte zu süßen Melodien hinzu, um etwas zu schaffen, das eine lautstarke Bar in ehrfürchtiges Schweigen versetzen oder den ruhigsten Ort zum Fieberwahn anregen kann.
Eine Woche nach dem ersten Lockdown des Jahres 2020 wurde Anton von 'Need to Know Music' aus Kalifornien angesprochen, das von den Produzenten Brian Brinkerhoff und Frank Swart geleitet wird...
Dies führte dazu, dass Anton bei dem Boutique-Label unterschrieb und in der Folge "Boy Living for the Weekend" mit Anton & the Colts und die Solo-Debütveröffentlichungen "Say Their Names" und "On the Way Down" im Sommer 2020 sowie die Weihnachtsveröffentlichung seiner Debüt-EP "Christmas Ain't the Same" veröffentlichte.
Im Sommer 2021 veröffentlichte Anton 'Where Art Thou April?'...., eine selbstproduzierte 4-Track-EP, auf der einige der besten Musiker Glasgows aus verschiedenen Bands zu hören sind, darunter Awkward Family Portraits, Blue Milk, Al & the Bad Decisions und Emerald State. Außerdem gibt es Gastauftritte von Phil Bennett von Starship (ehemals Jefferson Starship) und dem außergewöhnlichen Session-Musiker/Produzenten Frank Swart.
Anton hatte bisher ein arbeitsreiches Jahr 2023: Anfang März veröffentlichte er die Single 'Kindness', während einer kurzen Tour durch die USA im Mai brachte er 'Forty's The New Thirty' heraus... ein selbst produziertes Album mit alten und neuen Songs.
Seit der Zusammenarbeit mit 'Need to Know Music' hat Anton eng mit den Produzenten Brian Brinkerhoff und Frank Swart an seinem Debütalbum gearbeitet, das im Spätsommer '23 erscheinen soll. Auf dem Album werden Roscoe Wilson (Solokünstler, Anton & the Colts) und eine Reihe erfahrener Studiomusiker aus Nashville, London, Dublin, Texas und Kalifornien mitwirken.

Living proof that success does not necessarily mean compromise, Anton has taken the music he loves – blues, country, folk, rock n roll – and shaped them into a potent, fresh, yet reassuringly familiar brew.
Blessed with a smoky, whisky-soaked voice redolent of the great soul singers of Stax & Muscle Shoals, and armed with just an acoustic guitar & harmonica, Anton adds incisive lyrics to sweet melodies to create something that can reduce a rowdy bar to awed silence or rouse the most sedate venue to fever pitch.

This led to Anton signing to the boutique label and the subsequent release of ‘Boy Living for the Weekend’ with Anton & the Colts, and debut solo releases of 'Say Their Names', and 'On the Way Down' during the summer of 2020, and the Christmas release of his debut EP, ‘Christmas Ain’t the Same’.
The summer of 2021 saw Anton release, ‘Where Art Thou April?’…. a self-produced 4 track EP that features some of Glasgow’s finest musicians from various bands including, Awkward Family Portraits, Blue Milk, Al & the Bad Decisions and Emerald State. There are also guest appearances from Phil Bennett of Starship (formally Jefferson Starship), and session musician/producer extraordinaire, Frank Swart.
Anton’s had a busy 2023 so far; releasing the single ‘Kindness’ at the beginning of March during a short tour of the US in May, he released ‘Forty’s The New Thirty’… a self-produced album of stripped back songs of old, and new.
Since teaming up with ‘Need to Know Music’, Anton’s been working closely with producers Brian Brinkerhoff and Frank Swart on his full-length studio debut which is set to be released in the late summer of ‘23. The record will feature long term collaborator Roscoe Wilson (Solo Artist, Anton & the Colts) and a host of seasoned session musicians from Nashville, London, Dublin, Texas and California.
