Jesco (NL)

Jesco ist eine dreiköpfige Band aus den Niederlanden, deren Zentrum in Utrecht liegt. Sie spielen eine Vielzahl von Genres, von Blues über Punk bis hin zu Folk, mit einer Rock'n'Roll-Attitüde. Sie bringen Instrumente wie Banjo, Gitarre, Waschbrett, Glocken, Mundharmonika, Stahlketten und Kontrabass zusammen, um das zu schaffen, was man am besten als "Folk 'n' Roll" beschreiben kann.

Jescos Geschichten handeln meist vom Wahnsinn des Geistes und den tragischen Gestalten und Ausgestoßenen, die um uns herum und in uns herumstolpern. Mit ihrem dunklen Humor wollen sie das Publikum dazu einladen, sich mit den Figuren und Geschichten, die die Melodien bevölkern, zu identifizieren, darüber zu lachen oder entsetzt zu sein.

Sie spielen sowohl auf der Bühne als auch auf der Straße, mit voller Verstärkung, akustisch und alles dazwischen. In den letzten Jahren haben sie 2 Ep's und ihr erstes komplettes Album Bored or Sad veröffentlicht.

Jesco is a 3-piece band from The Netherlands centered around Utrecht.
They play a variety of genres, from blues to punk to folk music, with a rock ‘n roll attitude.
Bringing together instruments such as banjo, guitar, washboard, bells, harmonica, steel chains, and double bass to craft what’s best described as “Folk ‘n’ Roll”.

Jesco’s stories are mostly about the madness of the mind and the tragic denizens and outcasts that stumble around and within us. With a dark sense of humor, they hope to invite the audience to relate with, laugh about, or be appalled by the characters and tales which inhabit the melodies.

They play for the stage as well as the street, fully amplified, acoustic and anything in between. The past years they released 2 ep’s and their first full length album called Bored or Sad.
