Cormac Looby (IRL)
Cormac Looby ist ein irischer Singer-Songwriter aus der Grafschaft Tipperary. Er verbindet Elemente aus Folk, Pop und Rock mit introspektiven und ehrlichen Texten.
Cormacs Musik wurde bereits in den Sendungen „RTE Radio 1 Recommends“ und „BBC Introducing“ vorgestellt, und er war Headliner in Veranstaltungsorten wie dem Roisin Dubh, dem Workman’s Club und zwei ausverkauften Shows im Whelan’s Upstairs. Zuvor war er bereits als Vorgruppe für David Keenan, Maria Kelly und Seba Safe aufgetreten und eröffnete letztes Jahr die Show für Ye Vagabonds und Susan O’Neill beim „When Next We Meet“-Festival in Tipperary. 2024 erschien auch sein Debütalbum „A Perpetual State Of Irony”. Das im Black Gate Studio Galway aufgenommene Album mit zehn Titeln ist zweifellos sein bisher ambitioniertestes und spannendstes Projekt. Auf die Veröffentlichung folgten eine Solo-Tournee durch Irland, eine Reihe von Festivals und Auftritte als Vorgruppe für Niamh Regan und Gavin James. Im November unternimmt Cormac seine erste internationale Tournee in Deutschland.

Cormac Looby is a singer-songwriter from Co. Tipperary. He combines elements of folk, pop, and rock; with introspective and honest song-writing. Cormac’s music has featured on RTE Radio 1 Recommends, BBC Introducing and he has headlined venues like Roisin Dubh, Workman’s Club and two sold-out shows in Whelan’s Upstairs. He has previously supported acts such as David Keenan, Maria Kelly, Seba Safe and last year opened the show for Ye Vagabonds and Susan O’Neill at the ‘When Next We Meet’ festival in Tipperary. 2024 also saw the release of his debut album ‘A Perpetual State Of Irony’. Recorded with the Black Gate Studio Galway, the ten track record is undoubtedly his most ambitious and exciting project to date. This release was followed up with a solo Irish tour, a number of festivals and opening slots for Niamh Regan and Gavin James. November sees Cormac undertake his first international tour in Germany.
