Der australische Künstler und Produzent Christian Patey hat das Jahr mit seinem Album „Fluorescent“ abgeschlossen. Nach mehreren Veröffentlichungen im Bereich des elektronischen Alternative/Pop hat Christian nun ein Akustikalbum geschaffen, das seine Songs auf ein organisches Gefühl und eine organische Bedeutung zurückführt.
Nach dem Erfolg der vorab veröffentlichten Singles „Crystal Dust“, „Don't Follow the Internet“ und „Nitrogen“ präsentiert Patey nun seinen Titelsong „Fluorescent“, bei dem „Phoebe Rose“ mitwirkt und den er gemeinsam mit Jordan Lawrence (Calan Mai) geschrieben hat.
Der Titelsong „Fluorescent“ handelt davon, jemanden zu finden, der einem das Gefühl gibt, so in Ordnung zu sein, wie man ist, jemanden, der das Ego zähmt und dabei hilft, den Druck loszulassen, im ständigen Wettlauf des Lebens „zurückzufallen“. Er erinnert daran, sich vom Chaos zu lösen, Verletzlichkeit anzunehmen und sich wieder auf das zu konzentrieren, was wirklich wichtig ist.
Auf dem gesamten Album beschäftigt sich Fluorescent mit Themen wie Selbstwertgefühl, Familie, Ego und dem Beschreiten eigener Wege und reflektiert dabei über die Menschen und Momente, die wirklich wichtig sind. Musikalisch basiert es auf reichhaltigen akustischen Texturen und minimalistischen elektronischen Klängen, die eine Balance zwischen roher Intimität und moderner Tiefe schaffen. Inspiriert von Künstlern wie Bon Iver, kreiert Patey einen Sound, der geerdet wirkt und die Zuhörer daran erinnert, das Licht in ihren eigenen Geschichten zu finden.
Christian Patey produziert und spielt alternative Popmusik, die Ähnlichkeiten mit Chet Faker und Rufus aufweist. Er hat Boo Seeka, Thundamentals, Tash Sultana, Tora und viele andere unterstützt. Es folgten ausverkaufte Shows und Auftritte bei Triple J. Christian hat mit Jimmy2sox (einem Mitglied von Flight Facilities) zusammengearbeitet. Er hat einen Vocal-Sample auf Rae Sremmurds Album „Sr3mm” neben (The Weeknd, Pharrell, Travis Scott) gelandet und auch an PARTYNEXTDOORs Album „PX3” mitgewirkt, zusammen mit Drake.

Australian artist and producer Christian Patey has finished off the year with his album called ‘Fluorescent’. After several releases in the more electronic alt/pop realm in the past, Christian has created an acoustic album stripping his songs back to an organic feel and meaning.

Drawing inspiration from artists like Bon Iver, Patey crafts a sound that feels grounded, reminding listeners to find light in their own stories.
Christian Patey is producing and playing alternative pop music, with similarities to Chet Faker and Rufus he's supported Boo Seeka, Thundamentals, Tash Sultana,Tora,and many others. With sold-out shows and Triple J plays to follow. Christian has worked with Jimmy2sox (one half of Flight Facilities). Landed a vocal sample on Rae Sremmurd's album Sr3mm alongside (The Weeknd, Pharrell, Travis Scott) also worked on PARTYNEXTDOOR'S album PX3 with credits alongside Drake
