Kenan Flannery ist ein 26-jähriger preisgekrönter Folk-Songwriter aus Dublin, der für seine „atemberaubend schöne“ Musik und seine Stimme mit der Intensität „hundert irischer Dichter“ gelobt wird. Er verbindet seine Kindheit mit irischen Balladen mit amerikanischen Folk-Einflüssen und wird daher oft mit John Prine und Townes Van Zandt verglichen.
Er trat bei Electric Picnic, The Ruby Sessions und The Secret Song auf, unterstützte Acts wie The Wolfe Tones, The White Buffalo und Zachary Lucky und absolvierte mehrere Tourneen durch Europa, Großbritannien und Irland.

Nach der Veröffentlichung seiner Akustik-EP Old Love Letters Anfang dieses Jahres und mit einem neuen Album in Arbeit tourt Kenan ausgiebig und hat sich als eine der einzigartigsten Stimmen der modernen Folk-Musik einen Namen gemacht.
