We Met In June (NOR)
We Met In June ist ein norwegisches Musikduo, bestehend aus Sara Rose Zadig aus Dale in Sunnfjord und Gjest Ingeson Kvåle aus Sogndal. Ihre Musik verbindet Elemente aus Americana, Country und Pop – sowohl nostalgisch als auch frisch – und lässt sich sowohl vom zeitlosen Sound von Fleetwood Mac als auch von modernen Country-Pop-Künstlern wie Kacey Musgraves inspirieren.
Das Duo veröffentlichte im April 2023 seine erste Single und wurde für das renommierte Programm „Pop Up“ von Talent Norway ausgewählt. Im Februar 2024 veröffentlichten sie ihr Debütalbum „Loving Living“, das positive Kritiken erhielt und zu Auftritten beim internationalen Showcase-Festival „Future Echoes“ in Schweden führte.
Im Jahr 2025 wurden sie bei den Luttprisen Awards als „Durchbruch des Jahres“ ausgezeichnet, tourten mit ihrem Wohnmobil durch Norwegen, Dänemark und Deutschland und veröffentlichten ihr zweites Album „Going Home“. Das Album wurde von dem zweimal für den Grammy nominierten Marc Daniel Nelson (Fleetwood Mac, Jason Mraz, Joni Mitchell) abgemischt und enthält die renommierte norwegische Künstlerin Malin Pettersen als Gastsängerin auf dem Titelsong. Ihre Musik hat internationale Aufmerksamkeit in der Presse erregt, unter anderem bei American Songwriter,
GAFFA, Americana UK und Soundkartell.

We Met In June is a Norwegian music duo consisting of Sara Rose Zadig from Dale in Sunnfjord and Gjest Ingeson Kvåle from Sogndal. Their music blends elements of Americana, country, and pop—both nostalgic and fresh—drawing inspiration from the timeless sound of Fleetwood Mac as well as modern country-pop artists like Kacey Musgraves.
The duo released their first single in April 2023 and were selected for Talent Norway’s prestigious programme Pop Up . In February 2024, they released their debut album Loving Living, which received positive reviews and led to performances at the international showcase festival Future Echoes in Sweden.
In 2025, they were named “Breakthrough of the Year” at the Luttprisen awards, toured Norway, Denmark, and Germany in their campervan, and released their second album Going Home. The album was mixed by two-time Grammy-nominated Marc Daniel Nelson (Fleetwood Mac, Jason Mraz, Joni Mitchell) and features acclaimed Norwegian artist Malin Pettersen as a guest vocalist on the title track.
