Calum Baird (SCT)
Calum Baird ist ein aufstrebender schottischer Singer-Songwriter und Musiker aus den Bereichen Folk, Punk und Storytelling, der bereits bei BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Scotland und Amazing Radio zu hören war.
Calums Musik zeichnet sich durch ihre Ehrlichkeit und Authentizität aus, mit Texten, die oft introspektiv und persönlich sind. In seinen Songs beschäftigt er sich mit gesellschaftskritischen Themen, dem modernen Leben, Beziehungen, Entfremdung und gesellschaftlichem Wandel. Zu Calums Einflüssen zählen Bob Dylan, The Pogues, Johnny Marr, Billy Bragg und Dick Gaughan.
Calum wurde bereits von Radiosendern in ganz Großbritannien und international vorgestellt und trat auf Festivals und Veranstaltungen in ganz Großbritannien, Europa und Kuba auf. Er wurde in Online-Medien und der Presse vorgestellt, unter anderem in der „Scotland on Sunday“ als „Künstler der Woche“. Im Jahr 2026 unterschrieb er einen Vertrag beim Independent-Label Seahouse Records.
Neben seinen Tourneen und dem Schreiben eigener Musik verfasste und komponierte Calum die Filmmusik für den preisgekrönten Spielfilm „Exiles“ (2021), dessen Drehbuch von der Glasgower Dichterin und Autorin Victoria McNulty stammt.

Calum’s music is characterised by its honesty and authenticity, with lyrics that are often introspective and personal. His songs explore social commentary, modern life, relationships, alienation and social change. Calum’s influences include Bob Dylan, The Pogues, Johnny Marr, Billy Bragg and Dick Gaughan.
Calum has been featured on radio stations across the UK and internationally, and he has performed at festivals and events throughout the UK, Europe and Cuba. He has been featured in online media and the press, including in Scotland on Sunday as their Artist of the Week.
In addition to touring and writing his own music, Calum wrote and composed the musical score for the award-winning feature-film Exiles (2021) written by Glasgow poet and writer, Victoria McNulty.
