Michael Brinkworth, der Gitarre und Mundharmonika spielende Troubadour aus Australien, hat auf seinen Wanderungen einen Sack voll ehrlicher Straßen-Songs geschrieben. Er hat sein einzigartiges Songwriting und seinen Stil vervollkommnet und entwickelte seine ganz eigene idiosynkratische Ansichten von Alternative-Folk mit einem Tick Country-Soul. Sein Sound ist ebenso zuhause bei der klassischen Generation der Singer-Songwriter der 60er und 70er als auch beim dem vom LoFi-Pop beeinflussten Indie Rock und dem Alternative Country der späten 80er und 90er.
Getragen durch sein sich immer weiterentwickelndens Set, das so vielfältig wie dynamisch ist, liebt er es, das Publikum auf eine Reise bis ins Herz der Dinge mitzunehmen, wobei er immer spontan bleibt und jedes Konzert zu einer neuen erfahrung werden lässt.
Sein neuestes Album "Somewhere To Run From" wird im Oktober 2017 veröffentlicht.

Michael Brinkworth is a Berlin-based, world-travelling, guitar and harmonica wielding troubadour, originally hailing from Brisbane, Australia, with a backpack-full of heart-felt road-worn songs. He has honed a unique songwriting and performing style and developed his own idiosyncratic take on alternative-folk with a country-soul twist. His sound is equally at home with the classic generation of singer-songwriters of the 60s and 70s and the lo-fi pop-infused indie rock and alternative country eras of the late 80s and 90s, with an authenticity and candidness to match. Sustained by his ever-evolving set that is as diverse as it is dynamic, he enjoys taking his audiences on a journey that gets down to the heart of everything, keeping it spontaneous and making every concert a new experience.
His latest album, Somewhere To Run From, is set for release with Greywood Records on October 20th, 2017, with a live concert release of his band in their prime coming soon after. He will be touring this album solo and with various formations of the band throughout Europe and Australia into the new year, with a new album already on the way for 2018.
